The blurr... the age of an image. Nothing is forever they say. It is not true. Maybe a popularized myth. Everything is forever. A picture is a thousand words. A thousand words that is forever for thousand years to come. I share with you the past. The present is not something I can hold tightly onto. It slips my fingertips every time. You can always turn around and trace the footsteps you once took. The past is the only perfect reflection of the present.
I stare into the eyes of my past. So black and white. Unclear, yet I can still feel the exact thoughts and emotions that ran through me at that exact moment. Simply beautiful... Just how a photograph scream something ever so silently. The art... the expression... the magic... is held only within your eyes, and within your mind.
I missed one of your written blogs, your thoughts are more important than you think.

Joey, This is a welcomed change on your blog. I really enjoy the fancier shoots but I like seeing the simple ones also. I also agree with Val, I really enjoy your thoughts with each post. I hope you continue with both your photos and your thoughts.

Joey, I am sorry if I seemed I was trying to have some control over your blog posts. It is your blog; you will post what you want when you want. I just wanted to let you know that I liked the polaroids. I guess welcomed was not the best word to use. The pictures are not usually what you post but I liked them regardless. I did not mean my words to come out as you interpreted them.
ReplyDeleteI also like your writing it is very nice. It gives me a glimpse into your head, so to speak. Your writing is essential in my constant learning of how you perceive things. I regrettably do not write as well as you do, and it seems the meanings of my words are not as clear as yours. I am not a very creative person. I do not have any desire to control your blog or your writing for they both uniquely flow from your mind and artistry.
Ben but this was not the first time you've done this. You had told me you didn't like my other posts and rather me posts more images of me. This "welcoming" of a post, just adds onto it.

the progression of the photos with the wording is perfect. i almost want to look at the photos from the side (as if they were windows) so that i could see further into your ever so mysterious, but fascinating, life.

I tried going beyond my comfort zone yesterday and explored some random local areas I never knew existed all by myself like a big boy. Usually when I take pictures it's for car/motorcycle events or with a bunch of people. I'm not really used to going out places alone, but I figured I need to expand my abilities and experience something different.

There's something indescribable about being surrounded by a beautiful view with no one but your camera waiting for the perfect moment to capture it forever.
