Cut Flowers on the Sidewalk

I feel like an explorer, emerging from my shell to raise cautious antenna. People are scary, so many of them. I ooze around the corner, halting, hesitant, then slide across these crowded sidewalks, wishing my soft body would sprout wings and fly like the beautiful women I see flitting from the Korean’s shop to the Chinese food place. Cut flowers on the sidewalk. Where I come from they grow wild in the fields.

  1. I like the stronger verbs you used to express movement. Some of them engage more than one sense at once and that's always good when it comes to writing. I like the point of view and the links to nature in general. I really enjoyed reading this and I hope to see more from you. Your soul is creative in general so I imagine that you'll be successful with anything creative and therefore you have the potential to write beautifully. Exercise this, I can't wait to see more!
